2017 NBA Draft – Take Aways

As expected, many of the 18, 19 year olds much to the delight of the Analytics went early.  Also, as expected the 76er’s took Markelle Fultz # 1, the Lakers used the unofficial “territorial pick” and took Lonzo Ball #2.  The Celtics took Jason Tatum, #3 and Josh Jackson was the #4 pick by the Phoenix Suns.

Most interesting take away for me involved players Harry Giles, frosh from Duke, and Josh Jackson, frosh from Kansas.  Both players had issues. Giles projected to go in the top 10 dropped to  number 20 due to a medical problem(knee).  Josh Jackson with a character problem projected to go in the top 5 went #4. Put a smile on your face folks, it’s the world we live in.
