The “experts” are rating the NBA’s biggest draft busts. Just so you know, Harold Miner (Baby Jordan), selected 12th overall in 1992, was the top pick of the Miami Heat. Yes, Yours Truly was responsible for that pick. Also, not listed was William Bedford, the Phoenix Suns’ No. 1 pick in 1986 – and, in 1987, I was no longer employed by the Suns. In my book, I’ll go into more detail about the draft and how you stay employed partly because the other teams make more mistakes than you do. I’ll also share many “inside” stories connected with the draft. As an afterthought, I should mention this: Patrick O’Bryant – another bust — was a lottery pick in the 2006 draft for the Golden State Warriors. I was there but had absolutely NOTHING to do with that choice.
