Nothing surprises me anymore.  Here’s this guy’s resume, at present he is training and teaching  NBA players on shooting techniques … 1998-2001, he was a walk-on at Syracuse University … played 28 games, for a total of 48 minutes … was 6 for 13 from 3-point range and 0 for 2 from the free throw line …He was the fans’ favorite  and they cheered when he came in at the end of the game when it was safely put away.  After Syracuse, he was an assistant at South Florida University for one year  and after that back to his high school 15 miles outside Providence, R.I. where  Ryan Gomes was his initial client.
Now here is the best thing about Rob McClanaghan — his injured list.  These are some of the top players that he has worked with in past summers:

Kevin Love, played 18 games in 2012-2013;
Russell Westbrook, after a 2nd surgery, out 4 to 6 weeks or more at the beginning of this season;
Derrick Rose, knee a little gimpy after 20 minutes of first exhibition following 18-month layoff, although he’s now stretching it out;
John Wall, played only 49 games in 2012-13 … bum knee;
Steph Curry, already with chronic ankle and heel problems, played 26 games in 2011-12;

Brook Lopez had three operations on right foot in 2 years, played 5 games in 2011-12;
Al Horford played 11 games in 2011-12;

Tyreke Evans played 57 games, 63 games, 65 games last three seasons as they kept saying surgery wasn’t necessary on a left knee that bothered him all last season:

Last Man Standing? — Kevin Durant.

Also, one of his clients, Candace Parker managed to play 31 games (wrist injury sidelined her briefly) this summer and be named WNBA MVP, but of her six seasons, she has had three shortened by injury … playing 10 games in 2010 (shoulder) and 17 games in 2011 (torn lateral meniscus, right knee).####
