You know I never really thought about this before but it was pointed out to me that there are people in the NBA including David Stern that have the feeling that the NBA didn’t exist before 1990.  Discussing this with my friend J. Michael, he said “no money to be made” then he asked me “how many people sit in the stands with an Al Bianchi shirt on?” and I added Bob Cousy or Oscar Robinson? The  NBA does not use the old guys to their advantage like baseball and football.  And as the gal on TV, Melissa Francis, said, “when they say it’s not, it’s all about money”.###
